The day 13 May is usually not welcome by many people especially the older generation citizens. However, to those DJ residents staying around Jalan SS22/36 Sandy Park, the 13 May 2006 night was a fun-filled party with lots of laughter and joy. It was coinciding with Mother’s Day celebration; we received about 90 residents to come forward to show their support. They came with their favorite foods which were either cooks themselves or from the food stalls/ outlets they tasted best. They were so generous, it really touches my heart. In their mind there was only one objective, that is, they wanted to share their favorite food with their friends and neighbors. While enjoying the food, many also made new friends and met new committee members. They were seen singing and dancing happily through the night. We were happy that our mission had achieved. Thanks to everyone who had attended the party.
